Georgie & Chris asked me to be the photographer for their wedding day, split between the beautiful St John’s church, Wimbledon and the historic Hampton Court Palace, Surrey. I can’t tell you how glad I am that I was free for their date, because it is this set of photos which secured my place on the Hampton Court Palace preferred photographers list. Georgie wasn’t exactly looking forward to being photographed, like many brides, so they both opted for me to meet them at the church rather than bridal prep. The sun was out and the light streaming into the church was just perfect. The reception was held at the Garden Room at Hampton Court and upon arrival, as is usual, I took Georgie & Chris on a walk around the grounds to capture those special couple shots. It gave them time on their own to think about the ceremony, whilst I shot from a distance. I would ask them from time to time to stop and look to the camera, when the location and light demanded it…. It was then back to the Garden Room to shoot the group shots and allow the bride and groom to enjoy the rest of their perfect day……..
Oh and just quickly, this is what they had to say after the day…… “On the big day he was fantastic, especially in making the bride feel at ease being photographed, despite nerves, and getting really natural pictures of us and our guests” …… which is all a photographer could ask for. Thanks G&C……..
