I first met Ellie at the Hampton Court Wedding Fair towards the end of 2014 and her and her fiancé booked me shortly afterwards for their summer wedding in 2015.
They booked me for my full day option, from Bridal Prep through to First Dance and it was brilliant!
I arrived at Ellie’s home for the Bridal Prep shots with her, her mum, and her bridesmaids, and they were all very relaxed with champagne in hand!
I then had time to head over to capture the last moments of Joe getting ready with his groomsmen in the hotel opposite Hampton Court Palace. Again, very relaxed with champagne in hand (I see a theme here!)
Heading to the church in Claygate I was able to chat to the vicar, photograph the church itself, capture the arrival of the guests, and then the arrival of the bride.
The ceremony went smoothly, with music, laughter, and lots of space and light! Which is great for a photographer. I was able to stay well out of the way, whilst capturing everything that went on.
After some confetti, it was into the cars and off to the Palace, where they were taken around the venue with just me and their wedding co-ordinator, for those all-important couple photographs in the location I’ve come to know so well.
The day then progressed easily from canapés in the garden room, group shots, dinner, cutting of the cake, speeches and first dance. Their song was ‘don’t stop believing’ (as seen embossed on Ellie’s wedding shoes) – and it was fantastic.
Then the party really got going! I captured the beginning of the organised chaos (!) before heading off, job done.
Hope you like the images as much as they did……
Bye for now
