Being a wedding photographer means you may get approached very tentatively by friends who are getting married as they gently touch on the subject of you, photographing their wedding!
We this (sort of) happened to me, as John, a best mate of over 30 years, was getting married and they were struggling to find a wedding photographer that they wanted to use.
Usually I would offer right there and then to take the photos however this one was different as he’s a really good friend and I was also one of his ushers….therefore he wanted me to be part of day, rather than photographer!
Anyway, I did some negotiation, and twisted his arm to let me take the photos from before the ceremony to the dinner. Then I was made to promise that cameras would be put away and fun could be had! (You’ll see below that the cameras came out again later that night, illegally!)
It was an amazing day. Great weather, great friends and family, lots of fun and loads of brilliant memories.
The ceremony was at a small church in Micheldever, and the reception took place in the most amazing marquee built by ACADEMY MARQUEES – an absolutely stunning, clear walled and clear roofed structure with a central bar and dance floor. Take a look at the competition-winning night time photo below – it was truly incredible.
Finally, whilst John and Zoe were busy with other things, we decided to have a bit of fun with some sparklers, and some creative photography!
Here are a section from the final edits to give you a taster…..
